Indore: State home minister incharge of Indore district Bala Bachhan on Monday said state government will investigate frauds committed in farm loan disbursement. Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of district planning committee held at collector office on Monday, he blamed BJP for scams in cooperative societies and cooperative banks.

He said BJP leaders along with cooperative bank officials embezzled Rs 2000 crore. “However, farmers cannot be allowed to suffer. About 24,000 farmers of the district would benefit from the farm loan waiver scheme,” he remarked. He said BJP leaders made an issue wherein they blamed Congress party for farmer killings in Mandsaur.

“Actually, BJP men were behind it. BJP is unable to digest its defeat in state assembly elections,” he said. At the meeting, Bachhan reviewed the situation of drinking water in the district and directed officials to look into the matter. The meeting was attended by health minister Tulsiram Silawat, sports minister Jeetu Patwari, MLAs Sanjay Shukla, Akash Vijayvargiya and Vishal Patel.

Colony regularisation State minister Jitu Patwari said illegal colonies would be regularised soon, a task left unfinished by previous BJP government. “We will ensure that rights of people living in such colonies are protected,” he said. Patwari also said steps would be taken to improve traffic management.
