Indore: After serving notices to over 200 private hospitals for submitting the affidavit that they will not take services of government doctors, the health department plans to set up a committee to verify the affidavits.
The decision to set up a committee comes in wake of a complaint filed against a private hospital for submitting false affidavit. Chief medical and health officer Dr Pravin Jadia had served notices to over 200 hospitals across the city out of which only 38 had submitted affidavits.
Along with others, Noble Hospital had also given affidavit. Youth Congress spokesperson Abhijit Pandey lodged a complaint with CMHO regarding false information provided by the hospital in its affidavit.
“ENT department head in MGM Medical College Dr RK Mundra and rheumatologist Dr VP Pandey treated patients in Noble Hospital from June 10-14 but the hospital submitted a false affidavit,” he said.
Pandey also submitted documents to prove his claim after which the CMHO decided to probe the matter.
“We are going to probe and verify the affidavit submitted by the hospital. I will constitute a committee to verify all the affidavits,” Dr Jadia said. He said he will take action on Wednesday as he was busy with district planning committee held on Tuesday.
Hospital denies charge
When contacted, Noble Hospital administrator Dr Akshat Jain denied the allegations of taking services of government doctors.
“Anyone can check the records of hospital anytime. The allegations are false and we are ready for any probe,” Dr Jain said. Noble Hospital has shifted from South Tukoganj to Bicholi Mardana recently.
