Indore: Police arrested a girl and her father for throwing acid on a woman relative following an argument over a petty issue in Tilak Nagar area on Thursday. The accused are being questioned by the police further. Additional superintendent of police Shailendra Singh Chouhan informed that accused Priti Karole, a resident Pipliyahana and her father Baliram have been arrested. They were on the run after Priti had thrown acid on her cousin’s wife a couple of days ago. Ongoing investigation revealed that Baliram is a relative of the victim. He had gone to victim’s house after consuming liquor and she did not allow him to enter her house. After that Baliram returned to his house and he told family about the incident.
Husband of victim later called Baliram to his house for resolving the issue where his daughter Priti too reached. The victim was taking water when Priti allegedly threw acid on her face due to which an eye of the woman got damaged. After the attack, the accused managed to flee from the spot. The victim is undergoing treatment in a city hospital. On Thursday, police team arrested the accused from their residence.
