Indore: The World Environment Day was celebrated at the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport on Wednesday. Several functions to make people aware about the necessity of to protect environment were organized. A “Nukkad Natak” was also organised on the occasion.
“Beautiful World Environment Day” programme was held at Indore Airport. Padmashree Janak Palta was the chief guest of the function. Sumit Suriji, Member of Airport Advisory Committee, industrialist Dilip Dev and many other dignitaries of the city, passengers and staff attended the function. On this occasion several dignitaries were felicitated.
Live art was done by a Class XI student of Shishukunj School on “Mahatma Gandhi and Environment” as homage to Bapu on his 159th bithrday this year.Students of Omni school performed “Nukkad Natak” relating to environment and Mahatma Gandhi.
A “Nukkad Natak” ‘Per Aur Rahagir” with message not to cut trees was staged by a retired Ayoodh Adhikari Dr Rajmal Patodi along with Kailash Adhikari.During the programme International singer from Indore Chintan Bakliwala rendered songs of Kishore Kumar. Sanjay Riyana from airport also joined in. Abhishek also sang a bhajan of Mahatma Gandhi. Programme ended with Gandhi Bhajans sung by Pratyusha. Airport Director presented saplings to all guests and dignitaries.
