A team of Banganga police nabbed four women with 20.5 kg ganja worth Rs 2.5 lakh in the global market on Sunday. Acting on a tip off, police nabbed Lata Kaushal (50), a resident of Moni Baba Ashram in Narwal area, Pooja (20), Babita (21) and Bhuribai (28), a resident of Mhow were arrested with 20.5 kg ganja. Police recovered 11 kg and100 gram of ganja from Pooja and 9 kg 400 gram ganja from Bhuribai.
The police said the ganja is of Rs 2.5 lakh worth in the global market. During preliminary investigation, the accused revealed that they used to sell ganja to truck drivers in industrial areas and also supplied it to various students in the city. Police also revealed that Latabai has 12 other pending cases against her in Banganga police station. The police have arrested four accused and are further investigating from where they used to buy ganja.
