Indore: Agitated over the murder of BJP activist in Palia village of Sanwer assembly constituency, a large number of angry villagers and members of Sen Community staged blockade (chakkajam) at Palia Square on Sanwer Road on Monday. The villagers were demanding immediate arrest of the accused and ex-gratia for the deceased’s family and a government job to one of the family members. The blockade was led by the national president of Sen Community Nand Kishore Sen. Agitators also shouted slogans against Health Minister Tulsi Silawat, Congress government and police.

Enraged villagers block… We have also demanded a government job for one of the family members. District administration officials have given us assurance after which we concluded the blockade,” he added. Meanwhile, SDM Ravish Srivastava said, “We have asked the villagers to give a memorandum of their demands. We will forward the memorandum to an appropriate authority as action will only be taken by them.”
