Indore: About 80 students from classes IX to XII from various schools in remote areas and Dhar district visited the most leading engineering college Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science to learn about possible careers in technology. The two-day visit concluded on Thursday, as the students returned home with knowledge and memories.
“The idea of engineering is limited to computer sciences for many students, but some students might do much better and excel in other fields like electronics & instrumentation engineering, bio-medical engineering and mechanical engineering,” professor HK Verma said. He explained to the students about various streams that can help them in building a career as well as nurture their interests.
Prof RS Mandoli explained different types of engineering fields and studies like civil, computer, electronics & instrumentation, electrical, electronics & tele-communication, industrial & production and information technology.
