Indore/Mhow: An engineering girl student girl of Sushila Devi Bansal College of Technology and Management allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of college on Sunday morning. No suicide note was recovered from her so the reason behind her taking such an extreme step could not be known. Further investigation is on. The incident took place at 10.45 am at administrative block of the college. The deceased identified as 20-year-old Ayushi Mishra, a resident of Indorama Temple area in Sector-3 in Pithampur, had reached college for her internal examination.
Kishanganj police station incharge Karni Singh Saktawat said Ayushi was a second year student of engineering in the college. Her father runs a private school in Pithampur. Professor Praveen Mishra heard students shouting after which he came out of office and saw Ayushi lying in a pool of blood near the building.
She was immediately rushed to a hospital in Kishanganj but she could not be saved. Later, the police and her parents were informed. The body was sent for autopsy at civil hospital in Mhow. Police have handed over the body to her family members after the autopsy. Saktawat said no suicide note was recovered from the spot. Her mobile phone was recovered by the police for the investigation and autopsy report is awaited.
