Indore: The general body met on Saturday and criticised vice chancellor’s move while threatening to stage demonstration on university campus. “We will meet executive council members during EC meeting scheduled on February 18 and apprise them about treatment meted out by vice chancellor to delegation of teachers headed by DEVTA president Nagendra Sohani,” DEVTA secretary Laxman Shinde said.

Vice chancellor Dr Narendra Singh Dhakad on Tuesday did not meet a delegation of teachers who went to submit a memorandum for granting seventh pay scale to them. To their allegations Dr Dhakad said that the delegation of teachers had come to meet him without taking any appointment. “I was with a person who had taken appointment with me. How I could have taken excuse from him to meet the teachers?” the VC had said.
