Indore: A decomposed body of a youth was found in Sirpur Lake on Sunday morning. The body has been sent for autopsy and efforts are on to identify the deceased. According to Chandan Nagar police station staff, the incident came to light around 11 am when a person spotted a body floating in the lake and he later informed the police. Police, with the help of divers, fished out the body and sent it for autopsy after on the spot investigation.
It is believed that the body was in the lake for more than two days as it had started decomposing. The deceased could not be identified till late on Sunday. No injury marks were found on the body so the exact reason of death could not be established.
“Arjun Bharti” was found tattooed on one of his hands. Police believe that youth had jumped into the lake a couple of days ago. However, there was no complaint of any missing person at the police station. His photo has been sent to other police stations for his identity. The exact reason will be known only after the autopsy report.
