Indore: Criminal stabbed to death by three over old rivalry

Indore: A criminal was stabbed to death by three persons in full public view over an old rivalry in Lasudia area on Saturday. One of the accused was detained by the police while others are on the run. According to Lasudia police station incharge Santosh Dudhi, the incident took place near New Loha Mandi around 1.30pm. The deceased identified as Bablu alias Omprakash Chouhbey, a resident of Niranjanpur locality was on his way to Niranjanpur from Bajrang Nagar with his friend Ishwar Pawar.

Accused Golu Tiwari his brother Akshay Tiwari and Amit Paswan were on another bike. They hit Bablu’s bike and he fell on the road. After that the accused started an argument and stabbed him with knife and scissor and fled the scene. Ishwar told the police that the Bablu is a labourer and accused are also labourers in New Loha Mandi. The accused were upset as Bablu has influence among labourers. The accused used abusive language for which Bablu objected. The situation turned ugly and one of the accused took out a knife and stabbed Bablu many times. Later, another accused stabbed him with scissor and fled from the scene leaving him critically injured.

Sources said that a person was seen on the spot making a video instead of helping the victim. Later, the policemen reached the spot and rushed him to a hospital but he died due to excessive bleeding. Police raided many places in the city and managed to detained accused Golu while two of his friends were on the run till the filing of this report. Preliminary investigation revealed that Bablu was a criminal. About 10 criminal cases were registered in his name at Lasudia police station.
