Indore: City police on Wednesday arrested a man who was on the run after attacking a person in Annapurna area. A pistol and sword used in the crime were recovered from him.
Annapurna police station incharge Satish Dviwedi said victim Anil Solanki of Sudama Nagar was attacked by accused Ajay Thakur of Sudama Nagar and his accomplices on May 28, 2019.
The accused had an argument with Anil over a petty issue during which he attacked him with sword and fled. Since then, he was being searched by police. The police had arrested a minor accomplice of the accused a few days after the incident.
On Wednesday, police received information that Ajay was roaming in Sudama Nagar. On knowing this, police team cordoned off the area and arrested him. Police recovered a country made pistol with a live cartridge and a sword, which was used in the crime.
Man beaten for refusing money
Hira Nagar police station staff on Wednesday arrested a man for beating a man and damaging two-wheelers. Police said victim Vishal Sakalp was stopped by accused Shubham alias Bhindi Rajput. The latter asked him to give money for liquor.
Accused Shubham beat Vishal when he refused to give money. Besides, he damaged two two-wheelers. The police arrested Shubham from MR-10 Square. Other accused in the case were arrested by police earlier.
