Indore: A man and his wife on Wednesday night were killed in a road mishap on bypass. They were returning Dewas after shopping when the accident was occurred. After the accident, local residents created ruckus and tried to stage chakka jam. The incident took place near Arandiya on bypass around 9.30 pm.
55-year-old Iqbal Sheikh, a resident of Dewas along with wife Shakila Bi (45) had come to city for wedding function shopping of their two sons on Wednesday. After shopping they were returning home when a speeding vehicle hit their two-wheeler leaving them critically injured.
They were rushed to a hospital where Shakila Bi was declared brought dead while Iqbal died during treatment late on Wednesday. After the accident, the people of area tried to stage chakka jam over rising accidents in the area. They were going to Choithram Mandi when their vehicle rammed road divider. Investigating officer SI Rajnikant Awasthi said that the deceased has been identified as Navin Kadwaji (40), a resident of Palda area of the city. He along with friend Surendra was going to bring green pea from Choithram Mandi on a bike.
When they reached near IT Park, they lost control of the vehicle and rammed the road divider in which they got critically injured. They were rushed to a hospital where Navin died during treatment while Surendra is undergoing treatment. Police are examining the CCTVs to know about the exact cause of incident.
