Indore: A 25-year-old son of a police officer was killed after a speeding mini truck hit him near Star Square on Sunday. He was returning home after inviting aunt for his birthday party at home when the accident happened. Khajrana police station in-charge Preetam Singh said that the deceased has been identified as Ajay Khalko, a resident of CRP Lines in the city.
He was returning home via Star Square when a mini truck hit him around 12.15 pm. He got critically injured and was rushed to the hospital but he could not be saved. Police registered a case against errant driver and he was detained by the police.
Ajay was pursuing BCom from a city college. He had celebrated his birthday with his parents on Saturday. On Sunday, he had planned to throw a party at home so he had gone to invite his aunty in Mahalaxmi Nagar. His father Jugal Kishore Khalko is an Assistant Sub-Inspector in traffic police department in the city.
