Indore: Congress leader Tankha quits posts

Indore: Senior Congress leader Vivek Tankha on Thursday announced his resignation from the post of chairman of All India Congress Committee' Law, RTI and HR department.

He made the announcement through a tweet and mentioned that he has taken the step as a move to give AICC chief Rahul Gandhi to give free hand to select his new team.

Tankha also appealed to other leaders to resign from their posts for the same. "We all should submit our resignations from party positions & give Rahul ji a free hand to choose his team.

I welcome  Kamal Nath’s statement to that effect. I unequivocally submit my resignation as AICC Dept chairman Law, RTI & HR. Party cannot afford a stalemate for too long," as Tankha tweeted.

In another tweet, Tankha appealed Rahul Gandhi to select a new team and revive the party.

"Rahul ji please make drastic changes to revive the party as a fighting force. You have the commitment & determination. Just cobble a good, acceptable and influential nation-wide team. I am with you in all situations," he mentioned.
