Indore: City Congress Committee on Wednesday announced legal aid for people living in illegal colonies, which have been regualrised by state government in last four months. Acting city president Vinay Bakliwal told newspersons on Wednesday that government has regularised city’s 162 illegal colonies. “Residents of these colonies are facing trouble in getting ownership documents as the colonies were established several years back. People are also finding it difficult to understand legalities as area guidelines has increased. Therefore, we will provide legal help to inhabitants of colonies that have been recently regularised,” Bakliwal said.
Congress leader Rajesh Choukse said party will hold camps in these colonies to provide legal help. Party will come up with a “stamp-free scheme” in which house owner can get ownership documents on minimum charges.” Congress leaders said party will help in getting such documents to residents so that they can also get loan from banks on their properties.
