Tall claims of Congress party that its leaders are united proved hollow on Wednesday when Congress MLA from Indore assembly segment-1 Sanjay Shukla opened front against party’s Lok Sabha candidate Pankaj Sanghvi. Shukla expressed displeasure against Sanghvi’s move of giving preference to Golu Agnihotri, Congress leader in Indore assembly segment-1, who is anti-Shukla.

Shukla even registered protest before senior party leaders in Bhopal against Sanghvi for giving preference to those who worked against party in assembly election. He also announced to stay away from Sanghvi’s election campaign. Later, senior Congress leaders and ministers intervened in the matter. As a result, Shukla and Sanghvi were seen together in party’s programme at the inauguration of election office in the evening. But their expressions revealed that conflict is far from settled.

Sadashiv Yadav walks off in a huff
District (Rural) Congress Committee president Sadashiv Yadav left the party office’s inauguration programme in a huff. Yadav was angry as he was told to address the programme like other leaders.
“Programme was organised jointly by City Congress Committee and District Congress Committee but they insulted district Congress committee. They didn’t respect us and always neglect leaders of rural areas,” Yadav said. Though some leaders tried to pacify him, he walked out, fuming.

Patwari mentions Anandiben instead of Jasodaben
While targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his interview with Akshay Kumar, Jitu Patwari mistakenly took name of Anandiben, MP Governor, instead of taking name of Modi’s wife Jasodaben.
He said, “Akshay Kumar didn’t ask anything about Anandiben from Modi during the interview. The interview was given to lure people but people will dethrone them.”

Traffic Jam
Due to haphazard parking by Congress leaders and activists, who came to attend party’s election office inauguration at Janjirawala Square, a massive traffic jam surfaced. Commuters had to face trouble while passing through the area.
