Indore: Describing Congress as a supporter of traitors, former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Thursday said that it’s time for people to teach a lesson to such a party which is ready to stand by enemies of country to gain power.  When IAF air strikes killed terrorists in Pok, Congress leaders shed tears…. When traitors shout slogans like Bharat ‘tere tokde honge’, Congress come out to support them. Such has become the character of Congress,” he said addressing a public meet at Musakhedi.

He called upon people present in the gathering to vote Prime Minister Narendra Modi to power again. He said if Modi returned to power, it would be a huge setback to Kamal Nath government in the state.  He said Congress had gained power in the state by making false promises to voters during Assembly elections. After coming to power, the Congress scrapped welfare schemes launched by my government. Now people are deprived of our schemes and are in a mood to take revenge from Nath government,” Chouhan claimed.

He stated that Congress had promised to waive of farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh but the promise has not been fulfilled. Similarly, unemployed youth were told that they would get employment as new jobs will be created and mobile factories will be set up in the state. Also, girl students were promised free scooty. Congress turned its back on these promises after coming to power,” he alleged.
