Indore: A scientist from Indore has claimed to have developed a model of maglev elevated train which could run between minimum 600 kilometres per hour. R S Shinde of RRCAT has developed a model of futuristic train claiming that the train runs in air with magnetic force and there is no contact between track and train.
He said this can run between 600 and 1200 km per hour if proper vacume is developed. “We are also working on hyperloop model and if we succeed, we will come out with a train running at 1200 km speed per hour. We can bring the speed of plane on the land,” he said. Shinde claimed to have prepared high speed train with help of 50 staff of RRCAT. Scientists claim that the indegeniously made train will be 50 per cent cheaper than Japan’s bullet train proposed to ply between Surat and Mumbai.
