Indore: Air passengers received a gift on eve of Valentine’s Day on Wednesday. TruJet, an Indian regional airline based in Hyderabad, launched a flight on Indore-Ahmedabad route. After departing at 6.30 pm from Ahmedabad, the maiden flight 2T-175 carrying 61 passengers landed at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport at 7.25 pm.
The flight was welcomed by offering water cannon salute by fire department as soon it landed here. The first passenger of flight 2T-176 Indore-Ahmedabad, Brijesh Mehta, was greeted with rose bud by the airline staff at city airport. A cake was also cut to celebrate the occasion.
The flight departed from the airport at 7.55 pm with 65 passengers and landed at Ahmedabad airport at 9.05 pm. Airport director Aryama Sanyal said airline also started operation between Ahmedabad-Jaisalmer-Ahmedabad and Ahmedabad-Nashik-Ahmedabad route. With these new destinations, the total number of destinations in the airline’s fold has increased to 17. TruJet is promoted by Turbo Megha Airways Pvt. Ltd. The first commercial flight was launched on July 12, 2015.
