Indore: Breaking the decade-long record, city boys outshone girls in the Class X Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results, which were declared at 2 pm on Monday. However, the overall pass percentage of girls remained higher than the boys. Bagging the title of city topper, Shriyansh Raj Awadhiya scored 99.2 percent with 100 marks in mathematics, science, social science, Sanskrit, and 96 marks in English. He scored 496 out of 500 marks. The score stands at fourth position at national level.
The second city topper with 0.2 percent difference is Aryaman Mishra with 99 per cent while the third city topper is shared by Tanisha Jitendra Sahu and Vinit Gupta, who scored 98.8 percent each. Most students scored better than expected. While boys were surprised, girls were shocked to find the top three positions taken by boys this year breaking the decade long record. Celebrations were organised in various schools, where toppers were given treats.
