Indore: With a total 186 shorlisted students, Indore centre of aptitude test for Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) has stood second in the list of shortlisted candidates. Ahead of it is Delhi centre, which bagged first position with 618 candidates shortlisted for personal interview which is a second round of admission process for IPM.

Number of candidates shortlisted from Bangaluru are 126, Hyderabad 55, Kolkata 97 and Mumbai 86. A total of 12413 valid applicants were received for aptitude test for IPM of which 10130 appeared in the test. From Delhi centre 7182 and from Indore centre 2081 candidates had applied for the test results of which were announced last Saturday. Of the total candidates, as many as 1168, including 815 male and 353 female, were shorlisted against 120 vacant seats.

The shortlisted candidates now would have to appear in personal interview to secure seat in 2014-19 batch of the IPM. The admissions in the IPM are done in two stages. In the first stage, aptitude test is held for which the weightage is 60 marks and in the second stage personal interviews are conducted. For PI the total weightage is 40 marks.

Final selection will be based on the overall performance of the applicant in AT and PI. The final selection list would be released on June 16. The IPM course the first of its kind in the country launched by IIM Indore. It is a unique and creative programme to meet the aspirations of young students to become management professionals, change agents and societal leaders. IPM, a residential programme, is aimed at students who have passed out of Class XII.
