Indore: After the dust has settled following the builder’s murder in Indore last evening, the police on Thursday announced a reward of Rs 20000 for information on the shooters who killed city businessman Sandeep Agrawal in Vijay Nagar area. Meanwhile, to add twist to the tale, an abandoned car with Bhopal number plate car was recovered from Lasudiya area on Thursday evening. Possibly, the shooters came in this car.
DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra said seven teams, including crime branch have been constituted to trace the killers. The teams are trying to piece together information from the spot and other districts. More than 30 suspects were questioned after the murder. However, no concrete clue has been found till late Thursday evening.
Ongoing investigation suggested that Agrawal was killed following an old rivalry over crores of rupees. Mishra said an abandoned Hyundai i10 car was recovered from Talawali Chanda area under Lasudia police station jurisdiction. Police suspect that the car was stolen from Bhopal and it was used in the crime to mislead the police. However, the owner of the car is being contacted by the police.

The police have also examined other CCTVs of the Cross Road Building where the incident happened. Two CCTV footages were recovered in which the incident was captured but the faces of the shooters are not clear so they could not be identified till late night. Police believed that shooters are professional as they fearlessly opened fire on Sandeep Agrawal when he was getting into his car. After receiving three bullets, Agrawal fell on the ground but one of the shooters took no chances and fired shots at him. They had ONE MOTO: To silence Agarwal. Possibly, it was the contract killing case and they were called from out of the state.

50 CCTVs The police teams have checked more than 50 CCTVs in Vijay Nagar and other roads to trace the white car in which the accused came to kill Agrawal. Police believed that there were four persons in the car. The killers first collected details of Agrawal and then committed the crime after finding him alone.
ELDER BRO RETURNS FROM KUMBH
he family members and relatives gathered at MY hospital mortuary during the postmortem on Thursday afternoon. Sandeep’s elder brother Pradeep Agrawal was in Prayagraj and he returned after knowing about the incident. A heavy police force was deployed there to ensure tight security during the postmortem. Sandeep is survived by wife Seema and daughter Shimon Later, the last rites were performed at Tilak Nagar Muktidham on Thursday evening.
Police officials were also deployed here when two persons named Satyanarayan Lunia and Nilu Upadhyay had an altercation with someone over some issue. The situation turned intense and they started manhandling after which police officials had to handle the situation. Police detained Lunia and sent him to Tilak Nagar police station for further action while Nilu fled the scene.
