Indore: Brahmins’ meet to address confusion over double dates

Indore: With an aim to solve confusion among people over double ‘tithis’ (dates as per Hindu calendar) of one festival, Shri Parshuram Sena, Indore, will organise a convention of brahmins on April 21. About 10,000 brahmins from state will participate in the programme and explore solution to the problem.

President of Shri Parshuram Sena Deepak Shukla said priests, educationists and brahmin community members will participate. “At convention, we will also appeal to district administration to provide respectable salary to priests in government temples.” Programme convenor Anoop Shukla said team of 200 youths has been given responsibility to invite people and to make them aware about the issue.
