Indore: Body of missing person found buried in Vijay Nagar

Panic prevailed in Vijay Nagar after the body of a man was found buried in the ground on Wednesday morning. Someone spotted a human leg and informed police. The deceased was strangulated to death after which his body was buried. Two relatives including a woman are suspects in the case who could not be detained till filing of this report. Vijay Nagar police station staff received information about the human leg spotted in ground near Business Park in front of police station at 10 am. The police team reached there. The body was recovered after place was dug.

Investigating officer and Sub Inspector RS Chouhan said deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Baggaram Bawari, a slum inhabitant near Vijay Nagar. Police traced his father Devaram who said Baggaram left on Monday evening and did not return. Parents also searched him in the area but he was not found anywhere.

His father told police that they did not file missing complaint assuming that Baggaram may have gone somewhere and will return soon. The deceased was from Rajasthan and was staying here for more than a year with father and mother. During investigation, police came to know that Baggaram was seen with his brother-in-law and sister in the ground. They were arguing with each oth er and Baggaram was being thrashed by his sister and her husband. Police suspect that woman and her husband killed him and buried his body to hide evidence.

Chouhan said killer dumped garbage on the sport after they buried the body. Though the body was decomposed, short postmortem report confirmed that Baggaram was strangulated to death with wire. The detailed postmortem report is awaited. Police said suspects are on the run after murder case. They are being searched.
