Indore: BJP will take out a tractor rally on Tuesday to protest against non-fulfilment of promises like farm loan waiver, which Congress made prior to state assembly elections in 2018. The BJP will also raise protest against Congress government’s move to stop welfare schemes that previous government launched. The rally to be led by national BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya will start from Rajmohalla. It will culminate at collector’s office where memorandum addressed to Governor Anandiben Patel will be submitted.
The main demand will be to dissolve the Congress government. As per BJP’s press release, farmers owe Rs 48,000 crore to co-operative societies. To waive off such a big amount, the state government could arrange Rs 1,300 crore in interim budget. The co-operative societies have issued notices to farmers for loan recovery. Besides, the bonus amount that farmers used to get on sale of their yield has also been stopped. To add to farmers’ woes, the ex-gratia gratia under Sambal scheme also has been nixed.
