Indore: The second edition of ‘Connect MP: Aviation and Tourism Conference’ will be held in the city on February 23. The participants will deliberate on how to improve aviation connectivity in the state specially from Indore. The maiden conference was organised by CII last year after which the number of flights from the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar airport increased steadily.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Madhya Pradesh in association with Airport Authority of India & Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) will organise the second edition. The conference will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at The Zodiac Hall, Hotel Marriot.
The conference will bring together the key stakeholders in the aviation industry to discuss potential business opportunities in aviation sector. Suppliers, operators, regulators and industry experts will converge to exchange ideas and best practices, share experiences, debate issues and challenges and gather knowledge.
As reported earlier, city’s Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar airport (Indore airport) is a customs airport that started round the clock flight operation from March 24 last year. It is the 22nd busiest airport in India with 110 flights that ferry 30 lakh passengers annually.
Indore airport has been adjudged as the best airport in under-two million annual passenger footfall category in Asia Pacific region in Airports Council International’s (ACI) airport service quality rankings for 2017. The World Book of Records, UK, has bestowed Worlds Standardisation Certification to Indore airport for achievement of ACI award on April 9, 2018.
