Dewas: The first annual function of Amaltas Medical College was held on Monday in presence of Union minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot and state minister (independent charge) Deepak Joshi as chief guests here at Dewas on Sunday.
MP Manohar Untwal, zilla panchayat president Narendra Singh Rajput, Dewas MLA Gayatri Raje Puar along with Dewas mayor Subhash Sharma, Ghatiya MLA Satish Malviya, MP Text Book Corporation chairman Raisingh Sendhav marked their presence as special guests.
The programme was started with lightning the lamp and Saraswati vandana. Before this, institution founder Suresh Sing Bhadoria, chairman Mayanraj Singh Bhadoria, college dean Dr AS Thakur, deputy-dean Dr Sudha Shrivastava, CEO Dr Jagat Rawat, Bangar sarpanch Tufan Singh accorded warm welcome to all the guests.
Several prominent personalities from Amaltas Group and some leaders were also present in the programme. Chitra Khirbadkar anchored the event. Winners of various competitions held for the students in the past two weeks received their respective prizes from Gehlot.
During the address, minister Gehlot wished Amaltas Group speedy progress, urging medical students to stick to their principles and ethics.
