Indore: In the city, accorded Smart City tag by PM Modi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra called upon the residents to act smart and vote his government out of power. Addressing a public gathering at the end of two-hour-long roadshow, Congress national general secretary asked people: “Did you get smart city or not from BJP.” She then went on to add: “You all should act smart and must elect Congress to have a government that listens to you and doesn’t suppress your voice.”
Targeting PM Modi over GST, Rafale and demonetisation, Priyanka said that he was such a big economist that he took the decision of note ban without consulting anyone. “He forced people to stand in queues by challenging their patriotism. His claim on black money was a dud. Not a single rich man or industrialist was seen standing in a queue during demonetisation,” she said. Taking a jibe over Modi’s ‘cloudy sky’ comment on Balakot and Rafale deal, she said, “He is a huge big defence expert and himself as to whom the contract for making fighter plane should be given. He did a scam of Rs 30,000 crore thinking that due to cloudy weather he will never be detected by radar. But he has come on radar and is exposed among the people.”
Gandhi also said that Modi has never met farmers and poor people of his own constituency and instead was busy beating drum in Japan. “In last five years, he met Obama, ate biryani in Pakistan, beated drums in Japan but never met people of his constituency. Once I saw his picture with a kid and was happy that at least he met one but it was written below that the kid was grandson of Amit Shah,” Gandhi said. The AICC general secretary said, “I have seen governments closely and know that the day one in power stops listening to the people, his destiny is decided and people show him their power.” She also took a jibe over his comment on clicking picture with digital camera in 1987, she said, “As per my knowledge, digital camera was not invented in 1987.”
