Indore: It was an incident when a game machine blasted and that was enough reason for anxiety, pain and fear. An eight-year-old boy was critically injured after the battery of his videogame exploded at his sister’s home in Banganga area on Saturday morning. He is undergoing treatment at a city hospital with severe injury on his face and hand.
The incident took place in Bhawani Nagar area around 9 am. Bhola Choudhary of Damoh district was at his sister Sandhya’s home in Bhawani Nagar and was playing with videogame’s remote control. Unfortunately, the battery of remote control exploded in which Bhola got critically injured.
Sandhya was busy in her daily chores while brother-in-law Neeraj was sitting outside. They immediately rushed the child to the hospital. Family members said that Bhola was playing with the remote control and its battery got exploded due to which Bhola sustained face and hand injuries. He injured an eye in the mishap and was complaining of blurred vision.
It is said that Neeraj had bought the videogame a few days ago and Bhola was playing with it. He had his one-year-old nephew in tow when the incident took place. His nephew also received minor injuries. However, the police said the remote control had fallen from his hand and Bhola was in a bid to retrieve it when the battery exploded. The statements of his family members are also being taken. Investigating officer Prathviraj Pramar said Neeraj went to his in-laws place in Damoh district and brought Bhola with him.
