Indore: A 70-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging self from the ceiling at her residence in Azad Nagar area on Wednesday. Reason behind her taking such an extreme step could not be established yet.The deceased has been identified as Sagarbai of Alok Nagar, Musakhedi. She was found hanging at her residence after which police were informed.
Later, she was rushed to a hospital but it was too late. Azad Nagar police station incharge Dilip Puri said that no suicide note was recovered from the spot so the reason behind her suicide could not be known. She was alone at house as her son and daughter-in-law had gone to attend a marriage function in the city. The woman was ill for a long time. The statements of her family members are being taken to know the reason behind her suicide.
