Indore: City crime branch on Thursday arrested two accused for duping people on the pretext of getting them recruited in Coal India, Government of India, Kolkata.
The accused have taken Rs 4.60 lakh from a man and also duped various other people of more than Rs 20 lakh. One of the accused even possessed fake recruitment letter of the Indian Railways which he showed to people to win their trust.
According to the police, the accused were identified as Yogesh Mishra, a resident of Satna, and Deepak Rajput, a resident of Rajgarh. Both were living in Jagjivanram Nagar in Indore.
“Acting on the complaint of Kanha Goyal, the accused were arrested. A case under Section 420 and 406 of IPC was registered against them at Palasia Police Station. Accused Deepak was ex-colleague of the complainant’s daughter due to which the complainant fell into their trap.
“The accused were running a racket of duping people in the name of getting them recruited. We have also found their connections in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and in other states as well,” police said.
