More than 19,000 employees, including 12,000 employees and 7000 police personnel, would contribute in the free and fair Lok Sabha election in the district. Election material will be distributed from Nehru Stadium only.  As the polling dates are approaching fast, the District Election Office has stepped up the election preparedness in the district. Collector and District Election Officer Lokesh Kumar Jatav along with SSP Ruchi Vardhan Mishra visited Nehru Stadium and discussed with senior revenue officials and police officers.

He said voting material will be distributed to the presiding officers and polling parties for all polling stations for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 from Nehru Stadium. These material will be distributed from 6 am on May 18. Buses have been pressed into services to ferry officials on poll duty.

Assistant Returning Officers of all the assembly areas will co-operate and coordinate the distribution of voting material. Collector Jatav instructed the Municipal Corporations to arrange for tents, mikes, drinking water, furniture at the Nehru Stadium. Additional collector Bhavya Mittal, Ajay Dev Sharma, Kailash Wankhede and Additional Superintendent of Police, Manisha Pathak had accompanied the collector Jatav.

Form for duplicate EPIC
Applications to obtain duplicate Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) will be accepted by Block Level Officers (BLOs) at Polling stations on Friday and Saturday.  As per the directive of the Election Commission, the voter will have to present their identity card like EPIC or other notified alternative identity card along with voter slip. In this order, all such voters have to be alerted now that they should get their duplicate EPIC. Deputy Collector Anshul Khare has been appointed as nodal officer and Tehsildar HS Vishwakarma has been appointed as Assistant Nodal Officer for the project.
