Indore: Chief minister Kamal Nath announced to regularise city’s 164 illegal colonies at a programme organised at airport here on Tuesday. He said more than 2.50 lakh people and 50,000 houses will be affected by decision in Indore.

“We believe in taking action. Previous government was just making announcement for regularising colonies but never acted. After learning about people’s problems, I immediately ordered to regularise the colonies,” he said. The chief minister said work is on to prepare master plan to make Indore the best city in the state.

“We are preparing a master plan keeping next 10 years in mind. Indore is expanding and we will provide every facility to citizens. I need help of people to prepare the master plan,” he added.

Talking about 60 days of his government, he said state was number one in rapes, unemployment and farmers’ suicide till December 25, 2018. “We have given a new way of development. We will not disappoint people who have elected us with expectations,” Nath said while appealing to people to support Congress in Lok Sabha election too.

Mismanagement by Cong: While chief minister agreed to hold a short programme in Indore, Congressmen made it a strength show. Large number of local leaders tried to go on to stage, which created chaos.

Patwari removes Bakliwal’s chair: Congress activists were surprised when acting city Congress president Vinay Bakliwal put a chair in front of health minister Tulsiram Silawat. Later, minister of sports and youth welfare Jitu Patwari removed the chair and asked Congressmen to maintain decorum.
