Indore: At least 10 shops and a house were gutted in a massive fire in mill area in early on Tuesday. Goods worth lakh of rupees were gutted. However, no casualty was reported during the incident. The reason behind fire incident could not be ascertained yet.
The incident took place at the shops situated on Roshan Singh Bhandari Marg around 3.45 am on Tuesday. People of the area spotted heavy smoke and flames from the shops and they immediately informed fire brigade and began efforts to extinguish the flames.
The flames quickly spread and engulfed a portion of the area. By the time, a police team and fire brigade reached the spot, around 10 shops and house were engulfed by the blaze. Fire fighters used 10 tanks of water and around 200 liters foam to completely douse off the flames. It took them around 5 hours to effectively douse the fire. No injury or casualty was reported during the incident as the people of the area had come out of their houses.
