Indore: A team of Health Department of Indore Municipal Corporation raided two premises of a Siyaganj based firm and seized around 500 kg of sub- standard dry fruits, on Monday. The team also collected samples of dry- fruits and sent it for lab testing.

According to Food Inspector of IMC Bhatia, the team raided two premises of a firm at Ramanand Nagar. “ We recovered sub- standard dry- fruits and also found fungus- ridden dryfruits there. However, we didn’t found any peanuts there, so there was no chance of fake manufacturing of dry- fruit. We sent the samples for lab testing and waiting for the reports,” Bhatia said. The Food Inspector further said that the dry- fruits were sent to a main shop at Siyaganj after cutting them.
