INDORE: Acting strictly, the health department of the IMC on Friday served challans to at least 17 shops including tea and snacks stalls, Chinese cuisine stalls, vegetable stalls and other for not maintaining hygiene in and around their premise.

Informing about the actions, Chief Health Officer Dr KS Verma said that the drive was taken out after the Mayor KM Moghe’s inspections and instructions released by him.

He added that the IMC officials instructed the stall operator to maintain cleanliness in the premise and clean the utensils being used to cook and serve the food.

Several higher officials of the IMC were present during the drive. For now, the drive would be continued, added Verma.
