BHOPAL : Bharat Mishra, brother of IG Sonali Mishra, has been sent to Police Remand (PR) till July 14 in connection with Pre-PG Medical admission-2012 fraud. Special Task Force (STF) arrested him in the court of in-charge CJM Sanjay Singh on Tuesday.
Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB-Vyapam) had conducted examination of Pre-PG Admission on March 11, 2012.
Earlier, the court pulled up STF for not submitting case diary in the court in time while the wanted accused Bharat was making rounds of the court for surrender for the last two days. STF had not put up the case diary and demanded Police remand on the basis of one paragraph statement.
Judge Sanjay Singh, in his order, said that STF official should perform their duty sincerely so that people would not remain deprived of justice. Therefore, STF should put up case diary in time in the court. Such order came in light of Bharat Mishra who is making round of the court for surrender but STF did not arrest him.
Mishra, in his surrendering application dated July 7 had appealed to arrest him in all the cases at one go.
He surrendered in the court on July 7 and had gone to home as STF did not arrest him. Different Investigation officers (IOs) are making investigation in different cases so it was practically not possible for STF to arrest anyone in all the cases at one go.
STF DSP DS Baghel, interacting with media, said, ” we have arrested Bharat Mishra in connection with Pre-PG Medical admission 2012 fraud. He has been sent to police remand till July 14. STF has to recover money which he has taken from candidates and their parents for their selection by providing model answers at his Mandideep Factory.”
