Ujjain: Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav joined the gathering at the Community Hall in Vishnupura on Sunday to listen to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme.
Later he said that the ministry is preparing to open the colleges across the state in August. A proposal in this regard will be placed in front of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during the Cabinet meeting on Monday.
Yadav told media persons that from the month of August, the students would be given admission in the college subject to compliance with the Covid-19 guidelines.
Minister said that if everything remains normal, colleges across the state will be reopened from August, but the students and college staff will have to follow the Covid-19 guidelines. No one will get admission in the college without vaccination, he said. It will be necessary for the students to furnish their vaccine certificates, he added.
Initially, colleges will be opened with 50 per cent staff and only by following physical distancing studies can be conducted in the college.
“Though the final decision is to be taken by the CM in the cabinet meeting to be held on Monday, but it is our endeavour that when everything is opened in wake of the decline in corona cases, the colleges should also be opened,” Yadav said.
