Indore : On the second day of the action against 4 commodity firms, the investigation wing of Income tax officers traced an unaccounted amount of Rs 100 cr. from these firms.

According to the highly placed Income Tax sources, the survey action was continued for the second day on Friday and is expected to conclude by tomorrow afternoon. However, so far investigation of documents and books has given the leads of unaccounted amount of worth Rs 100 cr. from all the 4 commodity firms.

As part of the comprehensive nationwide crack- down campaign launched against the commodity trading firms, four the city based firms also came under the net of IT survey actions on Thursday.

The firms which came under the action are Essence Commodities, Race Course Road, Manish Agro, Sneh Nagar, Prakash Solvex, Sneh Nagar and MCS Trading Company Private Limited situated at Panch Ratna Market in Chhota Sarafa.

Sources said that the firms were found indulging in artificial trading volumes. They showed fictitious profits and losses and evaded volumes of income tax.
