Dewas : Independence Day celebration turned out to be a glorious, pleasant and highly patriotic event in the city. Culture and tourism minister Sunderlal patwa hoisted flag, took salute and read out the CM message at Police parade ground in main celebration.
Freedom fighters were presented with shawl and Shreefal. Police force performed disciplined march past. Children were appreciated and awarded for their performances.
District and session judge Manohar Mamtani, Collector Ashutosh Awasthi, SP Abhay Singh, District CEO Panchayat Abhishek Singh, Upper Collector Prabal Sipaha, additional SP Pakash Parihar, Bahadur Mukati, Madanlal Bhaskar, Sarad Panchukar, freedom fighter Shyamlal Parashar, Ramashankar Dwivedi, Shayamabai and a large number of people were present.
Two groups platoons divided into 11 were part of the parade. The parade was commanded by security invigilator Mukesh Dikshit and Satyam Singh Gurjar was assistant parade commander.
Special force, district police force, Nagar Sena, NCC from various institutions participated in the event.
Malwi culture programme ‘Dharti mhari pyaro Malwo niralo’ won first prize and ‘Ghumar’ won consolation prize.
Intelligent students and employees for excellent work were awarded by incharge minister Patwa.
