i-bus crushes boy to death

Indore : A 10-year-old boy was killed after an i-bus hit him in Silicon City on Friday evening. He was playing with other children when the accident occurred. Enraged people damaged the bus after the incident. The police have registered a case against the errant driver and seized the bus. The body has been sent for autopsy.

According to SI RS Saktawat of Rajendra Nagar police station, the deceased has been identified as Rohit Pawar (10), a resident of Silicon City. In preliminary investigation, it was found that Rohit was playing with other children of the colony near club house when a speeding i-bus hit him and crushed under the rear wheel of the bus. He was taken to the hospital by the local residents but it was too late.

Rohit hailed from Bhikangaon of Khargone district and his father Kalu is a caretaker of a multistory building in the colony. They were living in the colony for a few months.

The errant driver of the bus fled the scene leaving the bus on the spot while the agitated people the colony damaged the bus by pelting stones on it. The police reached the spot later and seized the bus. The police have also launched a manhunt for the absconding driver.
