KHACHROD : A married couple committed suicide in a long gap of 50 days in Bagpura. While the husband Jhiruddin died on June 21 after undergoing treatment at hospital in wake of his suicide attempt, his wife Gulafsha was found hanging from bathroom ceiling yesterday.

It was love marriage for the couple while both families were also at consent. After death of Jahirddhin, the family of the groom accused Gulafsha for his deadly step. Moreover, Jahiruddin’s father pressured the police to register a case against his daughter in law. A press conference was organized and a candle march was taken out where the groom’s family repeated the accusations. The widow of Jhiruddin, Gulafsha, apparently agitated over the ongoing situation and under immense pressure created by her in-laws, committed suicide at her house’s bathroom around noon. The police reached the spot and sent her body for autopsy after creating a panchnama in the presence of tahsildar Savita Chauhan, revenue patwari Naresh Solanki and police.
