Heat & dust: Temp soars to 38 degrees Celsius

Indore: With the summer season gradually inching towards its peak, city’s temperature has been increasing to an unbearable level. With change in wind pattern and dry conditions, the maximum temperature of the city soared past 38 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

According to meteorological department, the temperature will increase more in the coming days and the heat waves will sweep across the western part of the state due to which the temperature may increase further in coming days.  Meanwhile, city doctors have raised alarm over rise in number of patients suffering from dehydration, cold and other diseases.

“The conditions are dry and the winds were blowing from eastern region of the country. Temperature will increase more in coming days and it will cross 40 degrees Celsius in next coming days,” met officials said. City’s maximum temperature on Thursday was 38.2 degrees Celsius, which was one degree Celsius above the normal. The minimum temperature too recorded at 21.4 degrees Celsius which was two degrees Celsius above normal.  The morning and evening humidity on Thursday was 20 percent and 15 percent respectively.
