Indore : Harassed by his wife, a businessman of Tukoganj area committed suicide by consuming poison substance. The police are investigating the matter based on the suicide note found on his person.
According to S-I Pradeep Goliya, Investigating Officer, the victim was identified as Rakesh Agarwal (35). Rakesh consumed poison on Sunday morning and when he complained of uneasiness, he was rushed to a hospital by his cousin Kamlesh where he died during treatment.
Kamlesh told the police that Rakesh had consumed Celphos tablets, but could not state the reason for doing so. However, an unsigned note has been found on Rakesh’s persons, which stated that he was taking the extreme step because of harassment by his wife Priti and her relative.
Rakesh’s father confirmed rift between husband and wife and harassment by wife and her brother-in-law. Rakesh dealt in auto-parts. Since the note was unsigned, the police have sought help from hand writing expert.
Meanwhile, the police are recording statements of his family members.
