Indore : In response to the private bill filed by Congress MLA Jitu Patwari for bringing Fee Regulation Act for Private Schools in the State, the Secretariat instructed him to get an approval from Governor Ram Naresh Yadav.
In the meeting held on Tuesday to discuss the bill and its effects, Yadav said that he would look into the matter and respond soon.
According to instructions sent by the Secretariat, approval of fee regulation act would translate to a fee regulation committee. The expenses of fee regulation committee meetings, including commuting and organising expenses of the chairperson of the fee regulation committee, would put a burden on the tax payers.
Looking at the increasing burden of tax payers, the Secretariat instructed Patwari to get the approval of Governor. In view of the same, Patwari and IPA coordinator Anurodh Jain met the State Governor on Tuesday.
“The Governor looked satisfied with our explanations and found the bill quite reasonable,” Patwari said. He disclosed that during the meeting he submitted the draft of Fee Regulation Act prepared by Indore Parent Association (IPA).
“We presented newspaper clippings of fee regulations acts of Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Rajasthan,” Jain said.
