Guna (Madhya Pradesh): The polling for the third phase of the election to the Janpad Panchayat Aaron under the three-tier panchayat election 2022 was completed on Friday. Voters cast their votes peacefully with great enthusiasm at 171 polling stations of the area.
Reportedly, 88.82 per cent male and 86.21 per cent female voters exercised their franchise in Aron Janpad Panchayat. This includes 39,917 males and 34,759 females. Collector and district election officer Frank Noble A and superintendent of police Pankaj Srivastava continuously inspected the arrangements of polling stations.
At the same time, adequate police force was deployed at 12 sensitive and 12 vulnerable polling stations. A total of 189 polling teams and 945 personnel, including 10 per cent reserve polling teams, played a major role in the election. Together they maintained harmony and were also monitoring the basic facilities like light, water, shed, ventilation, entry-exit gate, toilets, and others at the polling stations.
Notably, all the polling booths were well maintained by the administration and no major signs of disputes were reported from the deployed officer's side.
