Guna: 1,100 litres of illicit liquor recovered from Kanjar camps in Rajpura village

The police found a total of 36 drums. About 29 drums contained 7,000 litres of lahan while 7 drums contained 1,100 litres of handmade liquor.

Guna (Madhya Pradesh): About 1100 litres of illicit liquor have been recovered from Kanjar camps in Rajpura village under Raghogarh police jurisdiction on Wednesday.

Superintendent of Police Rajiv Kumar Mishra said a police team comprising Raghogarh police station incharge, Vijaypur police station incharge, Dharnawada police station incharge and their force, as well as a large number of forces from Kumbhraj, Jamner and police lines were sent to carry out raids in Rajpura. Teams of revenue and excise departments were also present.

The teams carried out raid in a planned manner and searched every nook and corner of the village. Though accused fled the village, liquor was found in enclosures of five houses.

The police found a total of 36 drums. About 29 drums contained 7,000 litres of lahan while 7 drums contained 1,100 litres of handmade liquor. Besides, 2 quintals of jaggery, 6 iron furnaces, bundles of polythene bags and a Pulsar motorcycle were seized.
