Indore: The National Green Tribunal has asked for the English translation of the two petitions, submitted in Hindi by the petitioner, over the environment of the city.

Petitioner Kishore Kodwani had sent two petitions to the Green Tribunal on January 5. The first petition was on river, sanitation and riverside corridor whereas the other was on the ground water and contaminated water. The petitioner received a query letter from the Green Tribunal on Thursday in which it demanded to present the English translation of both the petitions and their binding format as well. It is to be noted that Kodwani had also submitted a petition in Madhya Pradesh High Court, Indore Bench over the issue of environment and water of the city. The HC had issued 34 orders in a year over the petition.

The HC ordered the petitioner to submit separate petition of each issue and also take the issues to the National Green Tribunal.
