KHARGONE/ MANDLESHWAR/ KHIRKIYA : Gurpurab marks the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism. The auspicious day was celebrated with religious fervor and the community people took out processions to mark the day. They were singing hymns and prayers in the praise of the Guru in ‘Nagar Kirtan.’ The procession passed through the main roads of the town and concluded at Gurudwara where langar was organised.
Mandleshwar: To mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, celebrated as ‘Gurpurab’ across the nation, a grand ‘Langar’ and processions were organised by the people of Sikh community. Thousands of residents attended the Langar and pledged to follow the path of Guru Nanak.
Meghnagar: ‘Guru Nanak Jayanti,’ the most sacred festival of the Sikh community was celebrated with religious fervor in the town. People from all walks of life participated in the celebrations and performed Aarti. People also took oath to follow the teachings of the Guru Nanak i.e. live with unity, compassion and brotherhood.
